Canon EOS 5D Mark II 21.1MP Full Frame CMOS Digital SLR Camera:as good as it gets
First, let me say is not absolutely useless for the purchase of this Parliament with a series of zoom L – be wearing money. This camera is much better than to any Zoom series L with exception of the series. THE first numbers are incorrect.
There are many comparisons between 5DII and D700/D3 back. INTERVIDEO publishes some excellent data comparisons sensor technology. What that shows is that in various tests the Canon is 0.5 – 0.3 worst left the Nikon in high ISO. ISO low (less than 400) the Canon is perhaps more 1.3 poor Nikon stops. However high dynamic range of ISO between the two is almost line ball! There are two things to say now. Get that ISO low figures are irrelevant because the noise cannot be seen in the lower ISO in any modern DSLR! The high ISO differences are so small that not nearly no difference. In fact if a shutdown in most tests converts from the Canon for the Nikon 12 MPX obtained 0.3 21Mpx under images. You voila! So are identical.
There are two very good cameras. The Nikon has more fps. The Canon has a higher resolution. And the Canon has 1080p movies! Choose.
Oh! That should ignore the final score of Nikon D3X INTERVIDEO. It is nonsense. Dynamic range of individual graphics data INTERVIDEO, s / etc. all show that the D3x is very similar to the 5DII. Presumably, the final score must be an error. But of course, is the D3x ~ $ 7000 and doesn ‘ t go higher ISO D700 or the 5DII. The D3 optically is much like D700, but with a better climate proofing etc. a weight and higher price. However, D3 has no sensor cleaning! I always for sensor cleaning as a duty to take DSLRs.
Forgot to say: last Canon firmware update has fixed the moiré (sweet) “black”and issues. “These problems are difficult to see (limit parameter sets) but should not be present.”

2 months later: still good. Found nasties not later in the day. Many revisions later confirm what I said. Slightly poorer low noise at high ISO, but the difference will be difficult for the eye to see in print – even in much larger. The 5DII also has a higher resolution than that of the D700. The 5DII is very similar to the Nikon D3X – ball line – sensor performance and v similar resolution. The D3X is stronger, bigger and heavier, but the 5DII is 1/3 the price. Choose.
